Bank Accounts

Once company formation is completed you will need to open a Bank Account for the Company. The company formation documents we provide will be adequate for you to open a Limited Company Bank Account at any major High Street Bank or Building Society. Our company formation service does not leave any loose ends that could result in delayed opening of a Bank account.

No doubt you will need to meet the Bank/Building Society's criteria to open a Bank Account. The Banks will carry out searches to establish:

• Who are the officers of the Company (Companies House search).



• Who are the shareholders of the Company, (they may need confirmation from us or your accountant).



• That the names and addresses of the Officers of the Company given on the Bank application forms are in agreement with the records held at Companies House.



• Proof of address for the Officers of the Company, e.g. a utility bill or driving license.



• Photo identification for the Officers of the Company. The Bank will need to see the Officers of the Company personally to check their identity and to discuss the Companies banking requirements.



• Photo identification and proof of address is usually required for all persons acting as Officers or Signatories of the company.

Please note that the above requirements are broad guidelines only. You should check with individual Banks and Building Societies for more precise details.
